LLOYD GOODWIN IN GOSPEL OF PEACE
NEWSLETTER
March - April, 1982
Deut. 18:20 "But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my
name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name
of other gods, even that prophet shall die."
(Photo is
of Lloyd L. Goodwin -"deceased in 1996" (see obituary) at the age of 67 years
old. He had made the "statement" (hear this for yourself) many years before that
anyone who died before they were 70 or 80 years old had died under the judgment
of God.)
Quote from Lloyd Goodwin in
the Newsletter: "Is this a false prophecy?"
"This is
the generation that will be alive when Jesus Christ returns to this earth.
Before the 1990's are over, Christ will have returned and set up His Kingdom
upon this earth."
Dear Reader:
Certainly it is a privilege
to be able to send you this newsletter, as it is the first one that has been
produced on our new AB Dick Printing Press, made possible by a very precious
child of God. Many improvements will be made in this newsletter as time goes
on, as our staff becomes more knowledgeable and experienced, but we would like
to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to this dear child of God who
sees the necessity of God's work coming up on a very high level, and we pray
God's blessings upon this anonymous donor.
There is an anticipation in
all of our hearts as we look forward to the years that lie right ahead of us. "This is the generation that will be alive when Jesus
Christ returns to this earth. Before the 1990's are over, Christ will have
returned and set up His Kingdom upon this earth." Someone
was alive at the first advent. Someone was living to see the prophecy
fulfilled, "Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall
call his name Immanuel. " Isa. 7:14. Simeon said, "Lord, now lettest
thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have
seen thy salvation. " Luke 2:29-30. Someone will be alive when Christ
returns again, and from a knowledge of the Scriptures we understand He is
coming in this generation. "... and unto them that look for him shall he
appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Heb. 9:28. ". . . This
generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Matt. 24:34.
"This generation" is the generation that was alive when the fig tree
(Israel, Joel 1:7) budded, (was established as a nation in 1948). If a
generation is forty years (Psalms 95:10) that brings us to 1988. If it is
forty-five years, that brings us to 1993.
But before that time
comes, we have several years yet to work in the church age, and we are
beginning to see God working in a mighty way. Many Scriptures are starting to
be fulfilled at this time, and one of those Scriptures is, "And this
gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all
nations; and then shall the end come. " Matt. 24:14. During the past few
years God has worked to continue and finalize our understanding of the
Scriptures, and now the message is becoming so very clear and we have it right.
Now the Lord is allowing us to beam this message out over the air waves. We are
now on nine radio stations, looking forward to being on more, even anticipating
going overseas via short-wave radio ..... and God is letting us reach
individuals that we could never reach by personal witness alone. ". . he
satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
" Psalms 107:9. Also, the Lord is joining together with us, ministers that
will work to see this message planted in the hearts of individuals both at home
and abroad.
We are living in
"perilous times, " 11 Tim. 3:1, as you will see even more as you read
"Increasing Christian Persecution. " But as violence (self-will in
opposition to God's will) fills the earth once again because "men have
become lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers,
disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, " etc., etc. , 11 Tim. 3:2,
more and more we want to get "oil in our vessels with our lamps, "
Matt. 25:4 And this is done by getting an understanding of God's Word.
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. " Psalms
119:105.
As you read the articles
contained in this newsletter, we trust your mind will be more enlightened as to
just what God is doing in our day. America is not the same nation that it was
twenty years ago, or even ten years ago. But as violence fills the earth one
more time, let us, as never before, "run with patience the race that is
set before us." Heb. 12:1.
We trust you will be blessed
by this newsletter, and we would appreciate hearing from you, as well as asking
for your continued prayers and support of this ministry.
May God bless you is our
prayer.
Sincerely,
