On March 1, 2000, I received a small package in the
mail. There was no return address on the envelope, and my name and address
was typed. The only thing in the package was an audiotape, with 3 dates typed
on the front of it.
Hi Darling, how's my baby? I'm gonna marry you. I want
you to read first Kings 3:5, and 15. First Kings 3:5, first Kings Chapter 3
verse 5, and verse 15. When Solomon talked to the Lord, and the Lord talked
to Solomon in a dream. And verse 15 said, "And he awoke and he knew it
was a dream." I think the Lord talked to me. And the Lord appeared to me
in a dream. I knew it was the Lord. I'm calm. I'm so calm. Our future is
already beginning to take place... [Inaudible]
...and I thank God for it. You're my wife, honey. Are you all right? Can I call
you in the morning...[Inaudible] ...you smile at me. And I
love you. Nighty night. I'm doing right, aren't I,
tomorrow night? Well that way, I don't
have to take that woman out alone. It's really right. I think it's right. Other person you can’t
hear: I know but I have to take these brethren out sometime
tomorrow, and they're leaving pretty shortly--next week. [Inaudible] Is it okay? That way I don't have to take her out
alone. Okay? Will you smile at me, honey? And I'll call you tomorrow. Love you, very much. I'm very calm, and I just know the
Lord has talked to me. It's definite-- in fact, my entire future. I'm... [Inaudible] Smile at me, honey. (Name
withheld,) everything will be all right. God's in total control. I understand
that now more than anything. See, the future, he controls the future. See, he's
in charge of the future. We're not moving into imponderables or
uncertainties. We're moving into a future controlled by God. Nothing can
happen that He does not permit. I love you. [Inaudible] Okay, smile at me. Bye Darling SECOND
CONVERSATION-- DATED JUNE 2, 1996 Other person you can’t
hear: Well I
thought maybe you was already on your way. Other person you can’t
hear: Getting
ready? Okay darling, I won't hold you up. You know I love you. Smile at me (Name withheld). [Inaudible] ...after
service... [Inaudible]
...hallway... [Inaudible] ...drive
carefully. Bye Darling.
[Sounds
like someone dialing on a phone] [Throat clearing] [Cough] Hi Darling. How's
my baby? Other person you can’t
hear: You feel
better? [Silence] You don't feel warmly? Well there's no way you-- you can
play in the band tonight, or go to band practice tomorrow night. Other person you can’t
hear: Huh? Other person you can’t
hear: Yes she
did. She told me you called. Other person you can’t
hear: No, she was
all upset. She wanted to know where you got your [sounds like TRC]. She said, “You use the [sounds like TRC] don't
you?” I said, “Yes I do.” Oh Bridge. I told her— Other person you can’t
hear: I know it
was! I said,
“Look Sister June.” I said, “If she would have got the [sounds like TRC] from
me, she just wouldn't have told you.” I said, “She would have hid it.” I
said, “In fact she told you she got it from her father.” Other person you can’t
hear: Oh, it's
just all the time, (Name withheld.)
You didn't do anything wrong, honey. You did nothing wrong. I just love you
so much. You did nothing wrong. Nothing wrong. [Inaudible] ...I'm wearing my new wash and wear shirts... [Inaudible] ...I love you... [Inaudible] ...You stay calm... [Inaudible] ...You smile at me. Other person you can’t
hear: You
coming with your folks?
Okay. Okay. You smile at me, and you know I love you. And you're going to be
all right, honey. (Name withheld),
stay on your routine. Other person you can’t
hear: Do-- do
what? Do what? Other person you can’t
hear: Really?
Okay. Okay. Other person you can’t
hear: Hmm. No,
no, no, I'll slip some over Friday night. I'll slip some over Friday night.
I'll do it. I'll slip some over. You don't have to stay on that ten days,
honey. If-- if you're... [Inaudible]
...and you're immune... [Inaudible]
...everything... I think you need to stay on it-- I think you need to stay on
it through the weekend. Other person you can’t
hear: I do. I'll slip you some on over. Try and do that. But
you keep taking four a day. Just keep taking them. Okay? I'll slip you some
more over Friday night. I might slip you some over tomorrow night during band
practice. I-- I think I'll do that. I'll slip them over tomorrow night so you
won't run out. Other person you can’t
hear: How's that? Okay? Now you smile at me. And stay on your routine. And I'll see you tomorrow night with some more. Love you. Bye darling. |
