THIRD LETTER TO LLOYD
GOODWIN
Hebrews 6:4-6
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened,
and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy
Ghost, [5] And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to
come, [6] If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing
they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
(Many times Lloyd Goodwin
told us that he knew things but we just weren't ready for it yet. Around the
time that I left the church, he had been preaching on liberty and that a
lot of the things that we had been doing like the rules and regulations of the
church i.e. women wearing their hair up, sandals, etc.... were not really
commandments of God. He would preach on that and people would start feeling
like they could breathe and then he would say something like: "There's
nothing wrong with it but if you do it you're not really a part of this
church" or something along that line. It's like he would
hold it out there like a carrot on a stick but then he kept pulling it back and
saying no.)
LETTER THREE
6-20-91
Dear Brother Goodwin:
I pray you are doing well and that God is dealing
with and speaking to your heart. I know that it must be very hard for you to
accept the fact that God is speaking to you through female vessels.
God works in mysterious ways, His wonders
to perform. All I know is that it is
not my flesh but God that is doing this through me. I also know that the
prophecy that <-----> gave to you is from God. You would be wise
and do well to listen and act upon it.
These gifts cannot operate in your church
because anytime anyone really starts to get on fire for God. You put
it out.
Acts 21:19 And Phillip (the evangelist - my father
was an evangelist also) had four daughters, virgins (I know that you already
"know" this, but the word virgin in Hebrew is (almah) which means
(veiled) young woman of marriageable age - in the Greek it means (parthenos) -
from the Greek Parthanon - temple of the virgin Athena (a Greek goddess.)
Parthenow means - a virgin "or" marriageable maiden "or" young
married woman.
Anyway, Phillip had four daughters,
(marriageable maidens or young married women) who did prophesy! (Name
withheld) is a young married woman and God absolutely gave her this prophecy
for you. If you choose to ignore it, then you judge yourself unworthy,
because you know that it's true!
Brother Goodwin, God has revealed much truth
to you! I have heard you say (several times) that you knew things but you could
not tell the people because they weren't ready to hear it. I always wondered WHY?
The people are starving! God's sheep need to be fed and you are starving
them to death!
Are you afraid if you tell them the truth,
that it will "set them free? Are you afraid that the kingdom that you have
built for yourself will fall to pieces? (And it will.) God sees it all!
He is not a horrible, judgmental God that you "scare" the sheep with.
He is a God of love and righteousness! We judge ourselves worthy or
unworthy! Whatever a man sows that shall he also reap. That is God's
law, it cannot be broken, only fulfilled! You must REPENT and set God's
people FREE!
You preach, for doctrine, the commandments
of men, those you've learned from others and those you've made yourself.
To him that KNOWS to do good and does it
not, to him it is a sin! He shall be beaten with many stripes.
Romans 1:18-20 For the wrath of God is revealed from
heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in
unrighteousness; [19]
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shown
it unto them. [20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the
world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his
eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Read on to the end of the chapter. It is for
"you." Also:
Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were
once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers
of the Holy Ghost, [5] And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of
the world to come, If
they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify
to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Brother Goodwin, evidently you have not
passed the boundary line between repentance and impossible,
because God is working very hard to warn you. He must love you very
much. You have not yet sinned the sin unto death.
I know that God has revealed truth to you
that you will not give people because if you do, you would not have the money
supply coming in to build your kingdom! You know that tithing was
done away with when the Levitical law was done away with. Christ fulfilled the
law once and for all! I have studied this thoroughly and I know you have too so
I will not cover it all here. Just some basic facts:
Tithe - ma`aser,
mah-as-ayr', Hebrew 4643; or ma`asar, mah-as-ar'; and (in
plural) feminine ma`asrah, mah-as-raw'; from Hebrew 6240 (`asar); a tenth; especially a tithe :- tenth (part), tithe (-ing).
Tithe -
apodekatoo, ap-od-ek-at-o'-o, Greek 586; from Greek 575 (apo)
and Greek 1183 (dekatoo); to tithe (as debtor or creditor) :- (give, pay, take) tithe.
Tithing is mentioned in seven books of the
Old Testament - all under the LAW and does not apply to us today because
Christ fulfilled the Law. We are under a New Covenant. Old things are passed
away. In Hebrews, Paul, speaking of the Melchisedec Priesthood that was not
after the order of Aaron.
Hebrews 7:12 KJV
For the priesthood being
changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. (18) For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and
unprofitableness thereof.
Hebrews 7:12 NIV
For when there is a change of
the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law.(18) The former regulation is set aside because it was
weak and useless
Tithing is mentioned in only three books of
the New Testament and always in reference to the "LAW."
The Greek word for tithing apodekatoo
is dissected as follows.
*Apo/**dekatoo - two words.
*Apo as a prefix apo, apo', Greek 575; a primary
particle; off, i.e. away (from something near),
in various senses (of place, time, or relation; literal or figurative) :- (×
here-) after, ago, at, because of, before, by (the space
of), for (-th), from, in, (out) of, off, (up-) on (-ce), since, with. In composition (as a prefix) it usually denotes separation, departure,
cessation, completion, reversal, etc.
**dekatoo - to tithe i.e. to give or take a tenth, pay
(receive) tithes.
So the word
apodekatoo simply means separation from , departure from, cessation of,
completion of, reversal from giving or taking a tenth.
(For a very thorough article on this subject -Tithing What Does the Bible
Really Teach?)
When he said "these things ought you to
have done and not left the more important things undone" was spoken before
his death and resurrection. After that, it was only free will offerings, given
from the heart.
Everything we have already belongs to God,
how can we give him anything? How can we build him a house? He said, "I
dwell not" in temples made with man's hands! "Where ever two or three
are gathered together in my name, there I will be in your midst."
"And they broke bread from house to house." "Let my house be
called "The House of Prayer."
WE are his body and his house! "Know
you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost?" The same SPIRIT
that raised Christ from the dead shall quicken your MORTAL bodies!
Brother Goodwin, I know that it was not
meant for me to live through the surgery that I had in December. The Spirit
revealed that to me. He let me know that he was there with me all the time. I
came very close to death. But you always said that we couldn't die until God
was finished with us and when He's finished with this old one, I'll be ready to
put on the new one. Praise His Holy Name! I pray with my whole heart that God
will speak to you "as he is," and that you will listen.
Have a wonderful day.
May God bless you,
Sister Wanda Mason
